CARE HOME PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO

Show families the life
inside your homes.

Video and photography that let a family picture
mum or dad living there.

Real residents, real staff and real moments, in a premium house style you can use across every home, so families feel confident to book a visit.

Now booking for November

The problem

  • Generic visuals, that look like every other care home brochure rather than the soul of your home
  • Too staged, cold or corporate, so the warmth and community inside your homes doesn't come through
  • Inconsistency across sites, so the brand stops feeling premium and intentional
  • Written quotes and phone clips, that get skimmed and rarely carry the trust families need
  • No clear brief or plan, so the content looks fine but has no job to do for enquiries, occupancy or recruitment
  • One video and nothing else, so once it's live there's nothing more to use

Result: you've got content, but not a library you can publish confidently, so trust takes longer and enquiries are harder to win.

The solution

One team plans and shoots photography, video or both at once, built around a clear brief and delivered as a house style library your team can use across every home and every channel.

  • A video or library with a clear job, planned to move families from curious to confident enough to book a visit
  • Values in action, guided gently and captured naturally, so the moments feel real, not scripted
  • Real voices, residents, families and staff in their own words, the strongest reassurance there is
  • A consistent house style, so every home in the group feels connected
  • Calm, care-home-aware production, planned around routines, meal times and resident comfort
  • One shoot, months and years of content, with a library and cutdowns that keep working long after the day

Outcome: your team has a bank of premium, on-brand photography and video that brings your homes to life and helps families feel confident booking a visit.

WHY REALCARE MEDIA

Stress-free production

One shoot produces years of usable content

A small team setting up a photography shoot in a home kitchen

Twenty-three years in commercial photography, with video now alongside, for brands including Lenovo, Tesco, Cow & Gate, AEG, VW and Lloyds, with work selected for Lürzer's Archive and 200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide. Anyone can take a photo or a video. The skill is knowing what a moment needs to say, and capturing it in a way your marketing team can actually use. Most production companies know how to shoot and edit. Very few understand how to tell the story of a care home in a way that helps drive enquiries, attracts the right staff and gives families the confidence to visit.

  • Care-home-aware planning, built around routines, privacy, dignity and the cues that protect family trust
  • Calm, low-disruption capture, with a small footprint so staff stay focused on care
  • People-first direction, so residents, families and staff relax and sound like themselves
  • A proper brief upfront, so what we capture is what your team actually uses
  • Ready-to-use files, organised for website, social, recruitment and PR
  • An extension of your marketing team, not another supplier to manage

The guardrails we build into every brief

Wrong cues we avoid
  • Cluttered backgrounds and distracting signage
  • Wide, empty room shots that feel lonely
  • Medical equipment and visible aids in frame where possible
  • Poses that feel patronising or staged
  • Anything that makes the home feel clinical rather than lived in
Warm cues we capture
  • Small groups and pairs, real connection and companionship
  • Natural interaction with staff, dignity-led and respectful
  • Everyday moments with purpose, engagement, inclusion, life
  • Premium details that signal quality, food, light, texture, calm spaces
  • A consistent house style that feels warm, human and intentional

Natural, warm, premium

Delivered so your team can actually use it

Photography in action at Elizabeth Finn Care Homes

A one-day, models-led lifestyle shoot planned around routines and wrong-cue guardrails to capture warm, premium, in-home moments. Delivered as a rollout-ready house-style library for Website, Social, Recruitment and PR.

The brief

Create an aspirational but realistic lifestyle photography library for website, social and marketing that shows togetherness, engagement, inclusion, and warm interaction with staff.

The challenge

Avoid the 'wrong cues' that can reinforce stereotypes, and maximise a full day on site into a library that can be used across multiple channels.

Our approach
  • Planned four scenarios to maximise variety: courtyard, dining, lounge, activities
  • Shot pairs and small groups to show community and companionship
  • Dignity-led direction and 'wrong cues' guardrails to keep everything warm and premium
  • Models-led for reliability, so the day stayed predictable and calm
  • Staff included throughout for realism and trust, showing the real team families will meet
  • Managed logistics end to end, including model sourcing and coordination
What we delivered

A rollout-ready house-style image library, organised for immediate use:

  • 300+ lightly retouched images, ready to publish
  • Optional hero selects for website headers and campaigns, brand-grade retouching
  • Delivered in folders for Website, Social, Recruitment and PR
  • Months of content from one shoot
"It was stress-free. Seb managed the entire process seamlessly. The resulting images gave us a 'house style' and have been used consistently since."

WHAT ONE DAY CAN PRODUCE

We turn one shoot into months and years of content

Photography and video, shot together by one team. Maximum output, minimum disruption.

Video is no longer optional. People want to see your care, your product or your technology working, not just read about it. Short testimonials from the people you serve. A real glimpse of the day. What makes you different, shown rather than claimed.

But here's the problem: most healthcare teams don't have the time or skills to make professional video in house. And when they try, it either looks amateur or sits unedited on someone's laptop for months.

We shoot photography and video together. You get both, without doubling the time on site, and everything comes back edited, formatted and ready to use: short clips for social, longer pieces for your website, and stills that match.

Frequently asked questions

Do residents need to appear on camera?

Not necessarily. While resident stories are the most powerful for building family confidence, we can also feature family members and staff, which can be just as powerful. We understand the nature of care environments and never rely on resident availability to make the day work. Whatever the mix, we plan around what is possible and make sure every voice feels natural and real on camera.

How do you handle consent, dignity and safeguarding?

We agree the consent process with your team before shooting begins, including who can be on camera, what they are comfortable with and any residents or situations to avoid. We only shoot people where the appropriate consent or approval process is in place. Dignity is the first filter on every shot, not the last.

How disruptive is the day?

A single-home production is typically one day on site. We plan around routines, meal times and resident comfort, so shooting happens in short, calm sessions rather than as a rolling crew presence.

Can the library work across multiple homes?

Yes. We can create a consistent house-style library designed to work across a group. Often we can capture in one home and produce assets that are usable across multiple sites, then add future shoots only if you want site-specific imagery.

Can we capture interiors, lifestyle and recruitment in one day?

Yes, often. The key is prioritisation. A one-day shoot can usually capture a strong mix of lifestyle moments, a set of key spaces, and recruitment and culture shots. If you want everything at maximum volume, we'll agree what matters most first, then build the shot list accordingly.

What are your rates?

Pricing depends on the number of homes, the shot list, whether we're using models, and the intended usage. After a short discovery call, we'll propose clear options with deliverables so you can choose what fits your priorities and budget.

Ready to give families the confidence to book a visit?

Start with a short call. We'll talk about your homes, your challenges and what you need the content to achieve. No obligation. No hard sell. Just a conversation to see if we're a good fit.
